It is important that all payments which have been made by customers are entered into the platform before bills are produced, to ensure that the correct outstanding balance can be shown.
Ideally the majority of payments will be processed by the platform so will not need to be manually entered, for example using automated Direct Debit payments. If any other payments are made by customers they should be entered against their accounts.
