Direct Debits
Once your GoCardless account has been connected to the SAFE Billing Platform, it will be used to seamlessly collect payments from your customers. This can be configured to happen automatically as invoices become due, as part of a manual weekly/monthly payment run, or to collect individual payments.
You may send out correspondence from the platform containing links to sign up for Direct Debit, and these links can be included on the billing emails to customers not already on Direct Debit.
Instant Bank Pay
In addition, GoCardless allows customer to send individual one-off payments using Instant Bank Pay. These payments can be requested by email, either separate correspondence or as part of the billing email. These payments tend to be quicker to receive and incur lower fees than similar card payments, though customers tend to be less familiar with the process.
