Invoices Report

The invoice report can be used to show a list of invoices produced in a given date range or a summary of the total amount of invoices over a given date range.

Filters

Filters are used to determine which invoices should be included in the report output.

On or After and Before

The report will exclude any invoices dated before the On or After date (which defaults to the first of the current month) or dated on or after the Before date (which defaults to empty). The default settings will show all invoices dated within the current month.

Payment Method

If you select any Payment Methods, then the report will only show invoices which are set to be paid by that method. If no methods are selected, then the invoices will not be filtered by payment method.

Invoice Amount at Least and Unpaid Amount at Least

The initial and/or the currently unpaid values of the invoice can be used to filter the report. The unpaid amount filters on a per-invoice basis, if you need to check the total outstanding, then the Outstanding report would be a better choice of report.

Billing Cycle, Dealer Code and Account Manager

These filters operate on the customer for which the invoice has been raised.

Suppress Zero Values

Invoices may be raised for a zero amount, but some accounting packages are unable to import zero invoices. Enable Suppress Zero Values to remove these invoices from the export.

Sub-Reports

The invoices report has several sub-reports which will produce a list of invoices, and some which provide summaries.

On Screen, Commission, Wholesale and CSV Output

The On Screen, Commission, Wholesale and CSV Output sub-reports display one line per invoice with differing columns present.

CSV Output (Accounts)

The CSV Output (Accounts) sub-report contains one line per invoice, and is intended to produce output which is suitable for import into a third party accounting package.

Mini Breakdown

The Mini Breakdown sub-report shows one line per invoice, but breaks down the invoice total into one-off, recurring and usage charges, refunds and manual transactions.

Full Breakdown

The Full Breakdown sub-report shows many lines per invoice, one per transaction and feature type.

Summary (By Customer)

The Summary (By Customer) sub-report shows a single line with the total invoice value for each customer – this is useful when running the report over a long period to see the total amount invoiced.

Summary (By Type)

The invoices for a given period may be summarised by either feature type, or by feature and transaction types.
