The Outstanding Report shows the total amount owed by each customer. It combines all unpaid invoices into a single balance per customer, making it ideal for chasing payments.
When to Use This Report
- Check which customers have overdue balances
- Review outstanding amounts as of a specific date for month-end reporting
- Filter by payment method to focus on direct debit or manual payment customers
- Identify customers who have exceeded their payment terms
Filters
For general guidance on running reports and using filters, see Using Reports.
Date Filters
- Invoice Date On or Before — only include invoices raised up to this date
- Due Date On or Before — only include invoices due by this date. Useful for finding overdue balances.
- Outstanding As Of — calculate the outstanding balance as of this date. Payments received after this date are ignored, giving you a snapshot of what was owed at that point.
Payment Method
Select one or more payment methods to show only customers using that method.
Payment Terms
Filter by payment terms (in days) to focus on customers with specific credit arrangements.

Filter by customer name, status, billing cycle, dealer code, account manager, and other customer properties. See Using Reports for details.

- On Screen — standard tabular view for quick review
- CSV Output — full data export for spreadsheet analysis
- CSV Output (Accounts) — formatted for accounting package import
- Print — print-friendly layout
Tips
- Set the Outstanding As Of date to the last day of last month for accurate month-end reporting.
- Use the Due Date On or Before filter set to today’s date to see only overdue invoices.
- Combine payment method and payment terms filters to prioritise which customers to chase first.
