Reports let you pull data from across your billing operation, from invoice summaries to call cost breakdowns. You can view results on screen, export to CSV, or print them.
Accessing Reports
Open the Reports menu in the main navigation bar. Reports are grouped by category:
- Invoices — invoice listings, outstanding balances, payments, transactions
- Calls — call costs, missed calls, inactive numbers
- Service Charges — recurring and one-off feature charges
- Spending Checks — prepaid balances and credit limit monitoring
- Discount Plans — allowance usage tracking
- Sales — number, service, and customer sales activity
- Lists — flexible customer and number lookups
- Commission — dealer commission and targets
- Wholesale Costs — carrier transaction detail and allocations
Running a Report
- Choose a report from the Reports menu.
- Set your filters to narrow the results.
- Select an output type from the dropdown (see below).
- Click Generate Report.
The results appear on screen. From there you can download, print, or modify your report.
Understanding Filters
Each report has a filter form that controls which records appear in the results. Filters are organised into collapsible sections such as Date Range, Customer Details, Number Details, and more.
Most filters are optional. Leave a filter empty to include all matching records. For example, leaving the Payment Method filter empty includes invoices with any payment method.
Common Filters
Many reports share the same filter sections:
- Customer Details — filter by customer name, status, billing cycle, dealer code, account manager, and other customer properties
- Number Details — filter by number, number type, carrier, line provider, and number status
- Feature Details — filter by feature status, feature type, carrier, and charge interval
- Service Details — filter by service, service type, provider, and service status
These appear as collapsible sections on the filter form. See individual report pages for report-specific filters.
Date Range Filters
Date filters typically use paired fields:
- On or After — include records from this date onwards
- Before — include records up to (but not including) this date
For example, setting On or After to 1st March and Before to 1st April gives you all March records.
Filter Views
Some reports offer quick and detailed filter views. The quick view shows the most commonly used filters, while the detailed view shows all available options.
Switch between views using the View > Filters menu. Use the quick view for everyday reporting and the detailed view when you need more precise control.
The Output Type Dropdown
The output type dropdown controls which columns and layout appear in your results. Each report offers different output types suited to different tasks.
Common output types include:
- On Screen — standard tabular view for quick review
- CSV Output — raw data export with all fields, ready for spreadsheets
- CSV Output (Accounts) — formatted for import into accounting packages
- Print — a print-friendly layout
Some reports offer extra output types such as summaries, breakdowns, or commission views. Check the individual report page for the full list.
Choose your output type before clicking Generate Report.
Downloading as CSV
After generating a report, click Download CSV to export the results as a spreadsheet file. The CSV uses the columns from your selected output type.
Printing
Click Print to open a print-friendly version of the report. This uses the enhanced print layout.
Modifying Your Report
After viewing results, switch back to the Report tab to return to the filter form. Your previous filter settings are kept so you can adjust them without starting over.
Managing Output Formats
Under the View menu, you can manage which columns appear in report results:
- Using a default format: Select Create Custom Format to clone the default layout for editing.
- Using a custom format: Select Edit Report Format to change which columns appear, or Clone Report Format to create a variant.
Custom formats let you control exactly which fields and columns appear in your results. This is useful when you regularly run the same report and only need specific data.
