SAFE CRM

SAFE CRM is a workspace of its own, sitting alongside the billing backend and reached from the CRM Workspace link in the backend menu. It uses the same customers, invoices, numbers and services you already have, so nothing needs to be copied or synchronised.

Most CRM products know about your sales pipeline but nothing about your billing. This one knows both. It can see what every customer actually pays, what their calls cost you, when their contracts end, how their usage is trending and whether they pay on time. That is why the CRM can price a deal from your real tariffs, spot a contract about to lapse, answer a billing query from the rating evidence, and chase a debt without ever leaving the page.

The workspace is divided into four sections. Each one has its own dashboard, its own menu and its own queues, and each is granted per user.

  • Sales - leads, deals, proposals, renewals, sequences and campaigns, through to bringing a won deal live in billing.
  • Customer Services - the Cases service desk, the Ofcom complaints register, confirmations of instructions, and all customer email.
  • Credit Control - chasing pipelines, payment promises, credit limits, late-payment charges and recovery reporting.
  • Billing - invoices, payments, payment methods and credit requests, worked from the customer record rather than the backend.

Around those sit the shared parts of the workspace: the customer page, the calendar, your TODOs and the daily digest.

The CRM does not replace the billing platform. It sits in front of it for the work you do every day, and hands back to the backend for the things that belong there.

Everything in the workspace is double-gated. An operator needs the CRM section and their normal backend permission, so the workspace never shows anything the backend would not. See Access and roles.

You can move between the two at any time using the switch in the top bar, and it keeps your place: opening a customer in the CRM and switching takes you to the same customer in the backend.

Several CRM features reach the customer directly, through MyAccount or through a secure emailed link: proposals they can accept online, cases they can raise and follow, confirmations of instructions, and a page for telling you when they will pay. See What your customers see.
